Airedale Computers have come to our rescue by providing us with one of their refurbished computers to help them run the charity.
Airedale computers are an innovative and multi award-winning social enterprise based in Airedale. They started as a means to retrain long-term unemployed people and return them into the job market. They do this by recycling and refurbishing computers, sanitising data to the highly-regarded American Department of Defence (DoD) standard.
They sell their computers from the stores in Airedale, Castleford and Pontefract, as well as online, and they also provide computers free of charge to a wide range of local charities and good causes.
John Ward, trustee for The Forgotten Heroes and former airborne forces soldier and current serving TA soldier, said: "We're thrilled that Airedale Computers has so generously provided this computer, which will help us manage the charity, and administer our website, newsletter and requests for assistance from injured and wounded service personnel across the UK". |
