The Forgotten Heroes Aim for the Charts with Rock Band Cauda Pavonis

Alternative / Goth rock quartet ‘Cauda Pavonis’ will be making Remembrance Day extra special for us this year, as they have very kindly written and recorded a charity single especially for us. The Bristol-based band, which has 4 albums and 2 EPs across their 13-year career, will be releasing the download-only single with us on Sunday, 30th October, in time for the Remembrance Day chart.

The song, penned especially for the occasion by songwriting duo Su and Dave Wainwright and simply titled ‘Forgotten Heroes’ will be available on general release, with all proceeds going to The Forgotten Heroes. The band is currently supporting Toyah on her UK tour, and will be unveiling the single in concert.

Su Wainwright, a founder member and lead singer with the band, said: “We came across the work of Forgotten Heroes though a close friend who is herself disabled and couldn’t help but be inspired by the true courage displayed by those people who rely on charities like Forgotten Heroes for help. It’s a real privilege to be able to assist with their fund-raising.”

We’re deeply touched by the band’s generous donation of their time and talent, and we feel that they’ve really gone above and beyond the call of duty in effectively writing and performing an anthem for us. We think the song is absolutely fantastic, and can’t wait to hear it on the radio! We’re hoping as many people as possible will support the release in the first week in November by downloading a copy.

The band have generously given the entire work, including studio costs, to us, so all proceeds from sales will go straight to the wok of The Forgotten Heroes. The single goes on sale to download on Amazon and iTunes on Sunday 30th October. To be counted towards sales for the Remembrance Day chart, copies need to be purchased between the release date and Saturday 5th November.
